Badimalika area is located in Bajhura District. The temple can be reached from the town Martadi on a two day hike. You should bring food and camping equipment for the trek.
In the Badimalika Area one can feel spirits of ancient times, of the dwellers of the kingdom of Doti who conducted their sacred journey to Badi Malika Temple. It is the epitome of Hindu religion and attracts worshippers from across the country as well as from India. The temple of Badi Malika is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati who had arrived here, forever leaving behind her previous dwelling. She had passed through Tribeni and finally settled in Badi Malika.
The temple is set at the top of 22 grass plateaus which contain around 200 species of flora and more than 100 species of herbs. Once you reached the Temple at the altitude of 4,267m, you will be rewarded with a majestic view of the Himalayan range.
The area is one of the main attractions of the Far-west Heritage trail that connects three jewels of the region: Khaptad National Park, the spiritual Badi Malika area, and the unique wetland area of Ramaroshan.
